VILNIUS: The Swedish production companies DramaCorp and Kärnfilm are shooting 10 episodes international spy thriller series Hamilton in Lithuania for TV4 and C More.

Based on the bestselling novel by Swedish author Jan Guillou and directed by Erik Leijonborg Hamilton is produced by DramaCorp and Kärnfilm for TV4 and C MORE in co-production with ZDF.  It is the second TV series co-production for Lithuanian producer Gabija Siurbytė and the local production company Dansu.

A contemporary espionage thriller set in Sweden, Germany, Russia and the US. Swedish agent Carl Hamilton is caught up in a murder investigation that seems to be linked to a series of public cyber attacks all over Scandinavia.

Leijonborg said: “With Lithuanian film production company Dansu, I‘ve been filming for the third time. Every time I‘m sure about the quality of results. Professional team, authentic locations, friendly citizens, talented actors and great service – that‘s why Vilnius could be called the European Film Capital.“

Principle photography in Lithuania, Vilnius began at the end of  May 2019 and will complete in the beginning of July. Later production will move to Sweden.

The television broadcast is planned to the end of 2019 at C More and the beginning of 2020 at TV4. Film distribution company „Beta Film“ has the rights for international sales.
