Rūta Jekentaitė is a creative producer who has been working in the film industry since 2009. While graduating from LMTA this year, Rūta produced her first short film I Know You, which was awarded as the best short film at the Lithuanian Film Awards. Since 2011 the producer has run the film production company Baltic Productions – this studio produces documentary and feature films, music videos, social audiovisual and interdisciplinary projects. Rūta belongs to such film organizations as EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) and EWA (European Women’s Audiovisual network), and constantly raises her qualifications in international training. Currently, Rūta is developing not only feature films but also series; scheduled to release two of her films in 2025. Rūta is an active member of the film industry community – she develops the international educational project Film Dialog, as well as the Film in Lithuania platform, where Lithuanian film producers are represented to their foreign colleagues and teaches at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theater.
